Celebrating National Friendship Day

It’s National Friendship Day and Triumph is celebrating because we know when women support women, incredible things happen.

Friends are like a good bra; supportive and always close to your heart!

To celebrate, we’ve teamed up with some of our favourite BFF’s in to tell us more about their friendship and the importance of female friendships.

Q+A with Those Two Girls, Lise Carlaw & Sarah Wills

  • How long have you been friends and how did you meet?

We only met four years ago through mutual friends, at the age of 33. Just when you think your friendship cup is full, you meet someone who you simply must make room for in your life. It was friendship fireworks from the start  with no sign of fizzle yet.

  • Can you provide an example of when you've really supported and / or empowered one another?

Forming as a duo have us the confidence to step outside our comfort zones because we knew we had each other’s back. Professional, we have an enormous amount of respect for each other’s boundaries and ideas and there’s a real sense of comfort around that.

  • What do you admire most about the other?

Lise: Everything.

Sarah: Ditto.

We dream of becoming live-in elderly companions on day. Sorry, husbands.

  • Why do you think female relationships are so important?

Because female friends never get sick of talking and sharing! Our husbands are mono-syllabic which makes for pretty dull coffee dates. Sometimes we call each other in the car after ten-hour days. With nothing left to say, just knowing the other is on the line is enough. Women can connect and empathise. That’s our super-power.
